# Get Started with Folify — Build and Publish Your Portfolio

> A step-by-step walkthrough for creating your Folify account, choosing a template, adding content, and publishing your portfolio live for the first time.

This guide walks you through everything from creating your account to sharing your live portfolio link. You'll use Folify's drag-and-drop builder to add your content, customize your design, preview the result, and publish — all without touching a line of code.

  <Step title="Create your free account">
    Go to [folify.me](https://folify.me) and click **Get Started for free**. Enter your email address and choose a password to create your account. No credit card is required at sign-up.

  <Step title="Pick a template">
    After signing in, you'll land on the template gallery. Browse layouts designed for different professions — developer, designer, student, freelancer, and more. Click any template to preview it, then click **Use this template** to open it in the editor. You can always switch templates later without losing your content.

  <Step title="Add your content">
    The drag-and-drop builder loads your chosen template with placeholder content. Replace it with your own by clicking any block and typing directly. You can add new blocks from the left-hand panel, including:

    * **Header** — Your name, headline, and profile photo
    * **Projects** — Showcase work with titles, descriptions, and links
    * **Skills** — List your tools, technologies, or competencies
    * **Experience** — Add roles, companies, and date ranges
    * **Social Links** — Connect GitHub, LinkedIn, X, and more
    * **Contact** — A contact form or email link for visitors to reach you

    Drag blocks up or down to reorder them, or remove any block you don't need.

  <Step title="Customize the design">
    Open the **Design** panel to adjust your portfolio's look and feel. You can change the color accent, choose a font pairing, and toggle between light and dark themes. Every change updates the canvas in real time so you can see exactly how your portfolio will look.

  <Step title="Preview your portfolio">
    Click **Preview** in the top toolbar to see a full-screen, read-only version of your portfolio exactly as visitors will see it. Resize the browser window or use the device toggle to check how it looks on mobile and tablet screens. When you're happy with the result, close the preview to return to the editor.

  <Step title="Publish and share">
    Click **Publish** in the top-right corner. Your portfolio goes live immediately at `folify.me/yourname`. Copy your link from the confirmation banner and share it in your email signature, on LinkedIn, in job applications, or anywhere else you want to make an impression.
